Nutrition for women with PCOS, painful, heavy, or unpredictable periods.

I'm Rene Munday, MS, CN. I help women with painful, heavy, or irregular periods, PMS, and PCOS understand what's driving their symptoms. Virtual sessions.

You’ve been told this is normal.

Maybe your period clears your calendar for a day or two. Maybe it shows up on day 22, or day 51, or not at all. Maybe it’s the week before that takes you out, when you binge eat, you lose your energy and you’re not the mom or the coworker you want to be.

You’ve probably been handed birth control, or told your labs look fine, or given a list of things to try with no idea which ones apply to you.

Common isn’t the same as unexplained. There’s usually a reason it’s happening in your body, and it’s worth looking for.

How I work

I start with your whole picture. Your history, your cycle, your symptoms, your labs, and your DNA, before changing anything.

I go in an order that builds. Food and blood sugar first, then sleep and stress, then your cycle. One change at a time, so each one gets a fair test.

I teach you your own body. By the end you know what your signs mean and what to do when a month goes sideways.

Why I do this work

I had painful, heavy periods from high school on, and when I brought it to doctors I was laughed at and handed birth control. Nobody asked what I was eating or how I was sleeping. So I went and found the answers myself: a master’s in nutrition, culinary training, herbal science, and Ayurvedic medicine. Fifteen years into practice, this is still the gap I’m closing.
